Product Overview
PCU and TPU, 190 and 220 µm
PureShield paint protection film is offered in two material families, PCU (polycarbonate urethane) and TPU (aliphatic thermoplastic polyurethane), each in 190 µm (7.5 mil) and 220 µm (8.5 mil) grades. Films are listed from highest to lowest tensile performance: PCU 220, PCU 190, TPU 220, TPU 190. Engineered for wet application and clean removal.

Notes. Weathering tests follow ASTM G154 / ISO 4892. Peel strength is the initial value after a 20 minute dwell, with the 24 hour value converted to N/25 mm. Values come from manufacturer factory inspection reports and technical data sheets. Test methods differ between films, so columns are not directly comparable.
Why It Matters
Key Benefits
- Heat-activated self-healing top coat
- Hydrophobic, easy-clean surface
- UV weathering tested to ASTM G154
- Stain and chemical resistance tested
Installation
Application
Wet application only. Use a slip solution (water and soap) and a tack solution (water and isopropyl alcohol) for glass-like clarity and sealed edges. Professional installation recommended.
Values shown are manufacturer test and inspection results under the stated conditions and are not a specification guarantee. PureShield reserves the right to revise this data sheet without notice. Warranty subject to terms and conditions.
